These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern your registration for and participation at any Horizon event (the “Event”) and are an agreement between Zycus Infotech Private Limited (including its affiliates) ("Zycus," "we," "us," or "our") and you. You represent to us that you are authorized to enter into these Terms.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF POLICIES AND REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
The following Zycus Registration Terms & Conditions (the “Terms & Conditions”) apply to all Horizon events. Prior to your registration, you must acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions contained herein. Should you not wish to accept the Terms & Conditions you should not register.
Submission of a registration is regarded as affirmation of your acceptance of the Event Terms & Conditions.
2. HOW WE WILL USE YOUR INFORMATION
General: Zycus is committed to data privacy and protecting your personal information. Information on how Zycus collects, processes, and uses your data is included in the Zycus Privacy Policy which is hereby incorporated into these Terms & Conditions. Additionally, by submitting your email address during the event registration process, you agree that Zycus and its event sponsors may send you event-related information. A valid email address is required for all registrations.
Zycus uses the personal data you provide in this registration for administering your participation in this event. This may include information about the event’s content, event logistics, payment, updates, and additional information related to the event.
Sharing with event sponsors: We may provide your contact information to Event Sponsors if (a) you elect to attend any sessions or other activities at the Event involving Event Sponsors (in which case we would provide your contact information only to the Event Sponsor involved in such session or other activity,) or (b) you opt in during registration or otherwise to receive communications from our Event Sponsors.
Voice and Image: By participating in the Event experiences, you agree that we may derive information from recordings of your voice and images of your face and retain and use all resulting information. Except as described herein, Zycus will not disclose your personal data to any other third party without your consent except where required to do so by law.
3. EVENT CONDUCT AND SAFETY
Zycus is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment to all participants during the Horizon event. Zycus has no tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form at Horizon. Participants are expected to adhere to these principles and respect the rights of others. What to do if you witness or are subjected to Unacceptable Behaviour: Participants should report any behaviour inconsistent with these principles to available online event staff. Event staff will be happy to help participants and conduct necessary inquiry on the matter. We value your attendance.
4. LICENSE TO USE MATERIALS
You grant us, our affiliates, and our independent contractors the right to record, film, photograph, and capture your voice and image in any media at the Event (the “Items”). By attending the Event, you grant to Zycus and its affiliates, agents, employees, and assigns an irrevocable, nonexclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty- free right and license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute, for any purpose relating to our business, all or any part of the Items and other materials submitted (including, for example, your name and biographical information) or presented by you (in electronic copy, hard copy, or otherwise) (collectively, the “Materials”).
We may edit the Materials, use them alone or together with other information, and allow others to use and disseminate them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you waive any moral rights you may have in the Materials.
By attending the event, you acknowledge and agree as follows: (a) Zycus may edit and use footage it captures at the event for marketing and promotional activities and for any other lawful purpose in the ordinary course of its business; and (b) due to the prevalence of mobile recording devices and other online tools in today’s world, Zycus disclaims all liability for the capture of your image in any multimedia format by other attendees at the event.
5. DATA PROTECTION
The protection of personal privacy is an important concern to us. Any personal data collected will be treated in accordance with current data protection legislation. The information given to us by you will be recorded in the databases and will be used for marketing, administration and promotional purposes.
We may also share this information with its event sponsors and its group companies in order for them to contact you about other products and services which may be of interest to you.
We may also share this information with providers of services relating to the event (e.g. online event platform) for purposes of fulfilling your registration, if necessary.
These providers, group companies and sponsors may not be located in the European Economic Area, and you expressly agree to the transfer of your information to these persons.
If you do not wish to receive further correspondence from us which does not relate to the event then please email

We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third party to whom it is entitled to pass your information under this section.
Unless we receive an explicit written request in advance from you confirming that you do not want to share your contact information, a list of all attendees, their affiliation institutions and Email addresses may be included in the attendee’s packs and on lists of attendees.

6. CANCELLATION
We may cancel the Event at any time for reasonable reasons including but not limited to, technical glitches or security breach, power downtime, and we may deny, limit, or cancel your Event registration at any time. We are not responsible for any damages, direct or indirect, resulting from such cancellation.
Should you cancel your participation in the Event, such cancellation must be made in writing and sent to
horizon2023@zycus.com.
7. HOLD HARMLESS
You agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and the event Staff from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or relating to your participation in the Event and use of any associated facilities.
We and our affiliates and licensors will not be liable to you under any cause of action or theory of liability, even if you have been advised of the possibility of such damages, for (a) indirect, direct, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or (b) lost profits, revenues, customers, opportunities, or goodwill. In any case, our and our affiliates’ and licensors’ aggregate liability under this agreement will not exceed the registration fees paid by you. The limitations in this section apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
8. FORCE MAJEURE
We and our affiliates will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation under these Terms where the delay or failure results from any cause beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, labour disputes or other industrial disturbances, electrical or power outages, utilities or other telecommunication failures, earthquake, storms, or other elements of nature, blockages, embargoes, riots, acts or orders of government, acts of terrorism, or war.
9. GOVERNING LAW
The laws of India, without reference to conflict of law rules, shall govern these Terms and any dispute of any sort that might arise between the parties.
10. DISPUTE
ANY DISPUTE OR CLAIM RELATING IN ANY WAY TO THESE TERMS WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING ARBITRATION, RATHER THAN IN COURT, EXCEPT THAT YOU MAY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW ASSERT CLAIMS IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. PROVISIONS OF THE (INDIAN) ARBITRATION AND CONCILIATION ACT, 1996, AS MAY BE IN FORCE FROM TIME TO TIME. SEAT OF ARBITRAION SHALL BE ‘MUMBAI, INDIA’ AND LANGUAGE OF ARBITRATION PROCEEDING SHALL BE ‘ENGLISH’.
11. MODIFICATIONS TO THESE TERMS
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Zycus Site. The modified terms will become effective upon posting. By attending the Event after the effective date of any modifications to these Terms, you agree to be bound by the modified terms. It is your responsibility to check the Zycus Site regularly for modifications to these Terms. We last modified these Terms on the date listed at the beginning of these Terms.
12. ENTIRE AGREEMENT; ENGLISH LANGUAGE
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the subject matter of these Terms. These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous representations, understandings, agreements, or communications between you and us, whether written or verbal, regarding the subject matter of this Agreement. We will not be bound by, and specifically object to, any term, condition, or other provision that is different from or in addition to the provisions of this Agreement (whether or not it would materially alter this Agreement). If we provide a translation of the English version of these Terms, the English version of these Terms will control if there is any conflict.
